Finally an upset! Until this game, you really got the feeling that this World Cup had gone almost entirely to form. What the hell happened to the Czech midfield??? They absolutely dominated us, and they were basically a no-show against Ghana? Essien and Appiah were great, but WTF? (Likewise, The US midfield was terrible against the Czechs and were great against Italy.) Ghana in fact should have had far more than 2 - but Cech robbed them numerous times, and that last offside was utterly ridiculous (not a bad call, but a terrible play - how can you go offside on a three-on-zero break?). I'll bet that Cech was pissed that he was the only Czech player to show up.

Czechs obviously missed having a world class striker on the pitch (Lokvenc - er, yuck). They need Koller and/or Baros - they obviously couldn't do it with midfield alone. And if Baros plays against Italy, which it seems he might, it could be a HUGE boost.

Love the kerfuffle about the Ghanian player pulling out an Israeli flag after the 2nd goal (he plays in Israel). Apparently a bunch of Arabs are pissed.

Ghana played a nice game against Italy too, and just couldn't finish. Obviously, they are going to be a hell of a team for us to face. Luckily, MoM Suly Muntari is out with yellow cards, as is Gyan after Ghana lost their appeal. Phew.

As a said below, this is clearly the Group of Death. And the only group in which nobody in in and nobody is out going into the third group game.
